Intimate Wedding Series // Candice & Denny's Romantic Vineyard Celebration
Just like Stephanie & Tyler, Candice & Denny reached out just a few weeks prior and wanted to go ahead with a quick, detailed, and beautiful wedding celebration. COVID restrictions kept changing but C & D had a whirlwind romance, with their second little bundle of joy on the way, and just wanted to make things official surrounded by their loved ones and didn’t want to wait.
From the beginning, the planning with Candice was so easy since we has similar design tastes and once again I was so lucky to work with the ideal Pastiche couple that trusted me throughout the entire process.
With a guest list of 21, we planned for an intimate ceremony in the Two Sister’s Vineyards barrel room following a first look & stroll around the winery.
Bloom & Co. nailed the romantic winery design with lots of neutrals and pops of burgundy. The backdrop styled by Tufts and Toile was accented perfectly with growing ground arrangements as to not take away from the drama of the barrel set up and twinkle light focal point.
My favourite part of any wedding is the intentional focus on personal details. There are no more rules. Whatever makes you happy is what you need to do to celebrate your day in a true and authentic to you way. I still tear up thinking of the special moment seeing Candice and Denny with their son (and soon to be baby number 2) having the most special ceremony. It was like watching an album moment, knowing years from now they would have the most special story to tell their kids about how they got to be there at their parents’ wedding.
Since there was no cocktail hour due to the restrictions, we had a very short amount of time to reset the same room for dinner. Here’s a personal tidbit, a glass tabletop fell on my foot the day before so my husband Nick joined me as my assistant to help while my injury slowed me down. Despite all of the curveballs, the team did an amazing job of working together and turning things around in such a short amount of time.
The layered tables reflected the palette of the day and accents by Monarch Design Co. brought everything together. The barrel room gave the entire evening an ultra romantic candlelit atmosphere.
I still get chills thinking back to Candice & Denny’s first dance to John Legend’s “Conversations in the Dark”. This moment was pure magic and everyone in the room could see the emotions sparkle on the dance floor.
Overall, it was so special to put this stylish, romantic wedding together in just 42 days. Even in a time of massive changes and planning hurdles, this beautiful celebration was yet another example in a long line of weddings that chose to go ahead and celebrate their love in their own unique way.
