Some Personal News...

A little Pastiche Bébé is on the way!

It’s been over 4 months of keeping this little nugget to ourselves but I am so excited to finally share with everyone that we’re expecting. I know this isn’t wedding or boutique content but as with all of the other interests that are slowly making their way under the Pastiche umbrella, I’m excited to talk more about lifestyle content like this. I hope you stick around and ask me any questions that come up along the way!

The first trimester was rough. Constant nausea, morning to night. Headaches. Exhaustion. But the worst part for me was just the not feeling like myself. I didn’t want to do anything, I wasn’t really CAPABLE of doing anything. The anxiety I felt skyrocketed as we counted up week after week hoping to confirm everything was okay and proceeding as it should. So I retreated. And I missed chatting and connecting and creating but I just needed the time to soak in what’s happening.

Now well into the 4th month, things are a lot better physically and mentally, it’s all starting to feel more real and we are excitedly making plans for what needs to be done around here before Baby M makes the big debut in September.

We enlisted Bruna from Simply Lace Photography to once again document this really special time for us in our home, this time with our pup Louie. It was such an exciting time (and honestly a welcome occasion to finally get ready and stop living in my sweats) to soak this in and formally announce Baby M to the world.

We are keeping it a surprise so we won’t know if it’s a boy or girl but it’s fun hearing everyone’s guesses. In the meantime, I’m getting back to business, hoping for warmer days to increase my daily walks with Louie & making plans for all the small home projects on the horizon.

I know many share their experiences, and many don’t, but if this is a journey you’re on, I will say I believe everything works out just as it should when it should. I’m sending you so much love.

In the meantime, if it’s your thing, feel free to share your favourite items or resources that have helped you through pregnancy or those super early days! It’s so overwhelming to see the information all over the place so I love hearing from people in my community what actually helped them most.

Now tell me your guesses: boy or girl??
